In Butoh your body is like an empty vessel. Detached from any form, it becomes a space body that is moved by whatever it is filled.
In this specific ButohJam it is music or sound that moves the body not to be mixed up with the emotions music can create and move our hearts.
About Bernhard Weiss
BERNHARD WEISS is a percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, and music creator. He has studied with renowned master drummers in West Africa and Cuba, including Famoudou Konaté, Coungbanan Konnte (Percussion de Guinée), Mansa Camio, Drissa Kone, Vicente Portuondo Hecha, and Mario Medeiros.
As a member of groups such as Xalis, Mamadou Diabate's Percussion Mania, Megablast Soundsystem, Cordion, Abarga, and Kalan, he has performed live on numerous stages and festivals.
As a musician, he creates music for theater, film, and contemporary dance performances, with performances from Vienna to New York, Amsterdam, and Tokyo. He has worked as a rhythm teacher since 1997.
